Sure, there’s kind, compassionate care delivered by skilled professionals in our beautiful home and modern gardens. And yes, we’re focused on improving the wellbeing of our residents, helping them live life to the fullest. But, everyone says that. So, what makes us different?
Well, true care is in the details. It’s the unique experience each resident enjoys through one-to-one support from our vibrant, passionate team members. It’s the quality of the cutlery, the beautiful flowers on the table, the wildlife that calls our grounds home too. True care means no restrictive visiting hours or hard plastic chairs.
True care is visible day in, day out. It’s about making every minute what you want it to be. And that’s what we do at Stoneleigh: help you live your life the way you want.

COVID Cabin - Caring through the pandemic
We’re proud Stoneleigh is a place of safety and security for so many.
And because our family-run home is about living life the way you want, we took that extra step to help our residents keep enjoying family time regardless of what’s going on in the world.
In September 2020, we built a cabin in our front garden, fitted with heaters and a screen. This lets residents enjoy the greenery and fresh air while feeling cosy during COVID-safe family visits.
Prompted by the pandemic, we recently decided to upgrade our tech too. Now, all rooms receive high-speed wifi, so residents can enjoy seamless video calls on our iPads whenever they want.
It’s our commitment to you and your loved ones.
Whether it’s marking off a full house at bingo, strutting your stuff in a dance class or enjoying a sing-along, our activity afternoons help your social scene bloom!
Weekly hairdresser visits and regular chiropodist appointments keep residents looking and feeling their best. And, our relaxing pamper sessions are a chance to indulge in some therapeutic self-care.
If you love to get outdoors, our nature-filled garden is a dream to sit and watch or chat with your family or friends. Leisurely strolls along the seafront and picnics in Clarence Park (opposite the home) are to be expected too.

It’s true, residents get generous portions of homemade food every day. And, like in any family home, the delicious Sunday roast is always the favourite, served with all the trimmings and followed by a delicious dessert.
Residents are free to eat in their room, but most prefer to dine in our beautiful Victorian dining room, where each table is laid with a vase of flowers, quality cutlery, mats, cups and saucers… or a glass for your tipple of choice - red wine? Bubbly? A cheeky beer?
Throughout the day, tea and coffee are served in china mugs and always comes with a biscuit or a slice of cake. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’ll be spoiled for choice at Stoneleigh!

Built in 1905, our stunning Victorian building has a bright, modern interior, furnished with soft materials and comfortable chairs. Gorgeous fabrics hang stylishly from the windows in our 26 luxury bedrooms and social spaces because everyone deserves the very best.
While the residential home stereotype is cold and clinical, with plastic chairs reminiscent of a hospital waiting room, that’s not us. This is a true home away from the family home.
Stoneleigh is decorated just like you‘d decorate your own home. It has all the details that create a warm, cheerful place to live; plants, wooden bookshelves and bowls of fresh fruit put out daily.
(And, you’ll notice there isn’t the smell most homes have. Instead, you’ll breathe in a lovely, fresh fragrance every time you step through our front door.)
